I MISSED YOU ALL

A POST STAG DO POEM

I missed the way you make a mess,

care free who cares it’s not a test.

I missed the way that everything,

smashes my gob, and knocks teeth in.

I missed the way you scream and shout,

even when my face you clout.

But equally there was another,

who I missed, my love, your mother.

Five years ago, she married me,

I missed our anniversary,

four days ago, but so did she,

which lets me off the hook you see.

I missed my little family,

that numbers four, cos we skipped three.

I missed my little family,

So clearly unabashedly.
